Partindo do princípio de que você já sabe quem é Jack Bruce, vou começar pelo final, se você não souber eu te digo logo mais. O primeiro disco aqui é o recém lançado 'Seven Moons' de Jack Bruce em parceria com o guitarrista Robin Trower, que tocava com o Procol Harum.

Jack Bruce já havia tocado com Robin Trower antes, quando formaram um power trio sensacional. Antes disso tudo, Bruce tinha lançado vários bons discos com gente como Vernon Reid, guitarrista do Living Coulour, Bernie Worrell que já tocou com George Clinton do Parliament/ Funkadelic e até mesmo com Marisa Monte, naquele disco cor-de-rosa.

E foi bem por aqui que Jack Bruce se juntou com Robin Trower na guitarra e Bill Lordan na bateria, para formarem o BLT, com as iniciais do sobrenome de cada um. Nessa formação de power trio eles lançaram dois discos, ‘BLT’ e ‘Truce’, ambos do mesmo ano de 1982. São desses discos as músicas, ‘little boy lost’, ‘end game’, ‘once the bird has flown’ e ‘what is this’. Ouçam na rádio ao lado e percebam a pegada do baixo do Bruce. Jack Bruce no baixo, Leslie West na guitarra e Corky Laing na bateria. Essa era a formação do power trio West, Bruce & Laing. West e Laing tocavam juntos no Moutain, outro power trio na mesma época em que Bruce tocava em outro power trio bem mais famoso. O primeiro disco com essa formação é fenomenal, estupendo, maravilhoso, sem mais adjetivos para usar no momento. Nesse disco Bruce divide os vocais do West. Jack Bruce desde que encerrou suas atividades com o The Cream, banda em que tocava junto com Eric Clapton e Ginger Baker – se você não conhece o The Cream eu desisto – realizou disco instigantes e alguns experimentais. No quesito experimental está o disco de jazz fusion que ele gravou com John McLaughlin, ‘Thing we Like’ em 1970. Mas o primeiro disco solo após o The Cream foi em 1969, ‘Songs for a Tailor’, com participação de George Harrison e Felix Papalardi, produtor do The Cream.
